Is my PDF uploaded to edit it?
No. The page previews, your edits, and the final bake all happen in your browser — the document never touches a server.
Can I edit the PDF's existing text?
No — this is annotation, not text surgery. You can add text, highlights, and boxes on top of the page (which covers form-filling and mark-up), but rewriting the original words requires the source document. Tools that claim in-place PDF text editing usually re-typeset the page and mangle the layout; we'd rather be honest about the boundary.
Can I fill out a non-fillable form?
Yes — that's the headline use. Click each blank, type the value, adjust the size so it fits the line, and download. For signatures, hand the result to GhostSign in the same tab.
Will my edits show in every PDF viewer?
Yes — the edits are baked into the page content itself, not stored as viewer-specific annotations, so they render everywhere including print.
Does editing destroy the original text?
No — unlike Redact (which flattens pages to destroy content), edits are drawn on top and the original text stays intact and selectable underneath. If you need text permanently removed, use Redact.
What about special characters?
Standard Latin text, accents, and typographic punctuation work. Emoji and non-Latin scripts aren't supported by the embedded font and are replaced with placeholders.
