Drop a .webp and it is re-encoded as a JPG on your device — compatible with every app and upload form.
Convert WebP images to JPG in your browser. WebP is what you usually get when you right-click-save from a modern website — and it's exactly what older editors, upload forms, and printing services still reject. Drop the WebP and GhostImage re-encodes it as a universally compatible JPG on your device. No upload, no signup, no watermark — and no waiting on a conversion queue for a two-second job.
Drop your WebP
Drag a .webp file onto the page. It opens in the GhostImage studio with Convert → JPG pre-selected.
It re-encodes locally
The WebP is decoded and saved as a JPG at the quality you choose, entirely in your browser.
Download the JPG
Save it and use it anywhere — JPG works in every app, editor, and upload form ever made.
Is my image uploaded?
No — decoding and re-encoding both happen in your browser.
Why do websites give me WebP files?
WebP compresses better, so sites serve it to save bandwidth. It's a great web format with patchy support everywhere else — hence this converter.
Will I lose quality?
A little — both formats are lossy, so re-encoding costs something. At high quality settings the difference is invisible for typical saved-from-the-web images.
What about animated WebP?
Only the first frame converts — JPG has no animation. For animations, convert to GIF or keep the WebP.
Can I convert to PNG instead?
Yes — same Convert step, PNG target. Choose PNG when you need transparency or plan to edit the image further.
Every GhostImage tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is never uploaded — there's no upload endpoint to send it to.
