WiFi QR Code Generator — Share Your Network

Generate a QR code that lets guests join your WiFi instantly — no typing required. Scan and connect. Supports WPA, WEP, and open networks. Your password never leaves your browser; we never see it.

How it works

  1. Enter your network details. Type your SSID (network name), choose WPA, WEP, or open encryption, and enter the password. Check 'hidden network' if your SSID is not broadcast.
  2. Preview and customize. The QR code updates live. Adjust colors and optionally add your logo — error correction auto-bumps to H when a logo is present.
  3. Download and print. Save as PNG, SVG, or PDF and print it or add it to your welcome screen, menu, or front desk sign.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. No signup, no caps, no watermark. GhostQR is supported by an optional tip jar only.

Do you upload my WiFi password to a server?

No. The QR encoding runs entirely in your browser. We have no upload endpoint — your password never leaves your device.

Does the QR code expire?

Never. It is a plain image file with no server-side hosting or TTL.

What encryption type should I choose?

WPA/WPA2/WPA3 networks should use WPA. Older WEP networks use WEP. Open (no password) networks use nopass. When in doubt, check your router's admin page.

What does 'hidden network' mean?

A hidden network does not broadcast its SSID. If your router is set to hide the network name, check this box — the QR payload will include a flag that tells the device to connect even without a broadcast beacon.

Which phones can scan WiFi QR codes?

iOS 11+ and Android 10+ can scan WiFi QR codes natively via the Camera app. Older Android versions may need a dedicated QR scanner app.
