No. The table reconstruction and the .xlsx writing both run in your browser. Financial statements never touch a server — there's no server involved.
How accurate is the table detection?
Regular grids — statements, invoices, exports — convert well. Merged cells, multi-line wrapped cells, and heavily designed layouts land imperfectly; expect to tidy edge cases rather than re-type everything.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
No — a scan is a photograph of a table, with no text to extract. You'll get a clear message instead of an empty file. OCR the scan first, then convert.
Do numbers come through as real numbers?
Yes — plain numerics, comma-thousands (1,234.56), currency amounts ($1,000), and accounting-style negatives ((250.00)) are converted to numeric cells so sums and formulas work immediately. Percentages and dates stay as text for you to format.
How are multi-page PDFs handled?
One worksheet per page, named Page 1, Page 2, … — so a 12-page statement becomes a 12-tab workbook with nothing merged or lost.
Can I convert to CSV instead?
Open the .xlsx in any spreadsheet app and export CSV from there — that also lets you pick which page's table you want.
