Crop PDF Free — Trim Margins Online

Trim the margins of every page or focus in on a specific region. Useful when scans have a black border, when you want to remove headers/footers, or when a page is way larger than its content. Works locally in your browser.

How it works

  1. Drop your PDF. Drag the PDF onto the page. We'll render a preview of the first page.
  2. Drag the crop region. Drag the handles on the preview to set the crop rectangle. The same rectangle applies to every page of the document.
  3. Download the cropped PDF. GhostPDF applies the crop to every page and gives you a new PDF with smaller page dimensions.

Frequently asked questions

Will text and images keep their sharpness?

Yes. Cropping changes the page's display rectangle — content is not re-rasterized. Text and vector graphics stay sharp at any zoom.

Can I use a different crop on each page?

Not yet — currently the same crop rectangle applies to every page. Per-page cropping is on the roadmap.

Will the cropped pages be smaller?

Yes. The new PDF's page dimensions match the crop region. Page area shrinks roughly proportionally to the crop.

Does this remove the cropped content or just hide it?

It hides — PDF crop boxes don't delete the original content, they restrict the visible rectangle. Most viewers respect this and most operations (print, export) honor it, but a determined viewer can reveal hidden content.

Do you upload my PDF?

No. Cropping is a local operation.

Free?

Yes. No signup, no caps, no watermark.
